LIT-Tipperary is a school of Limerick Institute of Technology offering full-time and part-time programmes of study from campuses in Thurles and Clonmel, county Tipperary. The Tipperary School is experiencing a period of rapid growth and development – with new courses and a doubling of full time student numbers over the last three years.
The courses on offer range from Level 6 programmes in IT Support up to a Level 9 Masters in Business. Disciplines of study include: Creative Multimedia, Games Design, Digital Animation, Business & Marketing, Accounting & Finance, Community and Social studies, Environmental & Natural Resource Management, Sports Strength & Conditioning and Smart Sustainable Energy.

St Patrick’s College is a college of education, primarily specializing at undergraduate level in preparing students to teach in post-primary schools. The college is located in the picturesque town of Thurles, Co. Tipperary and has a rich history of religious and humanities education dating back to 1837.
The college currently offers two full-time BA (honours) in Education degrees, which prepare teachers of Religious Studies, Irish, Business Studies and Accountancy for employment in post-primary schools. St. Patrick’s College is currently developing postgraduate programmes which will provide part-time options aimed at teachers wishing to enhance their education and training.
As well as offering full time academic courses, St. Patrick’s College serves as a centre for theological, pastoral and spiritual renewal in the region and continues to provide opportunities for community learning.

Gurteen College is situated in the heart of Ireland, and provides quality education in pleasant surroundings. The college provides a range of courses from FETAC level 5 and 6 up to a HETAC level 7 Bachelor Degree in Equine studies. To the East, IT Carlow and Waterford IT are about an hours travel from Thurles by road.
