Did You Know?

Despite having a large amount of water based activities, did you know that Tipperary is Ireland’s largest inland county? Our tip is to get out there and explore. Remember, Lough Derg is an officially designated Adventure Hub.

Itinerary: Walking Trails

1-2 days:
Base yourself in Nenagh. On the first day, head southwest to Ballina to the Graves of the Leinstermen Loop. Extend your walk to the nearby Millennium Cross. Both of these walks are loops off the Lough Derg Way. Enjoy the many other amenities that are on offer around Lough Derg and don’t leave this area without stopping to take in the spectacular views from The Lookout. Return to Nenagh for the night and the following day set out for the village of Silvermines to the south where you can enjoy the Silvermines Loop which is part of the Sliabh Felim Way.
