The world famous Ballydoyle Stable, founded by one of the greatest trainers of all time, Vincent O’Brien, has seen some legendary horses pass through its doors, many including the great Saddlers Wells went on to stand as stallions at their breeding arm Coolmore Stud. Our tip for Tipp is to keep an eye out as you drive through the south east of Tipperary. The beautiful young foal you see by their mother’s side could be a future horseracing legend.
The Visit Nenagh Classic will feature many of Ireland's leading riders, male and female, and coming as it does just 4 weeks before the An Post Rás it will offer our leading riders an ideal opportunity to test their form.
The event will also offer the spectator many opportunites to see the race as it loops and turns a number of times within a short distance. Pearse St Nenagh will be a hive of activity on the day with a local food fair lining the main thoroughfare.
Rene Van Dam is organising a Gathering around this event, inviting international riders to participate. If you are interested, get in touch with Rene.
