Limerick to Silvermines Village, Co. Tipperary. The route provides panoramic views of the region and in some parts it is possible to see parts of Counties Clare, Limerick, Offaly & Tipperary. There is a picnic area on the trail. The Clare Glens is also only a short drive away from Newport, offering an excellent looped walk in woodlands. This area is also popular with kayakers.

Newport is a great place to base yourself for taking in the sights of Co. Tipperary and is very close to the bustling city of Limerick. It's also close to Lough Derg for cruising and other watersports.
